Until now, I’ve never carried dollhouse furniture in my shop, but I’ve decided to experiment with some miniature kitchen appliances. I had way too much fun setting up a tiny scene for photographs, and I’d love to give you a little tour…

First off, here’s the kitchen set (see it in my shop here):

The set comes with a refrigerator with opening doors, an oven with an opening door, a sink with two opening cupboards, a corner counter unit with an opening cupboard, and a counter unit with opening cupboards and an opening drawer. So many opportunities for displaying cute kitchen accessories and miniature food!

Here’s a close up of the dollhouse stove and oven:

Above, the featured accessories and foods are a dollhouse miniature double boiler, copper teakettle, red oven mitts, magic cookie bars set, fruit cobbler set, bread pudding set, and cherry pie with lattice crust.

In the above photo, accessories include: dollhouse dinner plate, miniature bowl, and spatula. The hand-painted dishes are from my personal collection. You could also use tinted translucent liquid clay and bits of polymer clay (or semi-translucent glass paints) to add food to the dishes, if you wanted to make them look realistically dirty.

Accessories in the above photo include: dollhouse miniature cutting board, rolling pin, cake pans, measuring spoons, ceramic mixing bowl, wooden whisk, and Hershey’s cocoa box.

In the above photo, accessories include: dollhouse miniature stand mixer in robin’s egg blue (see all available colors here), white toaster, toast rack, loaf pans, pastel donuts.

For my own dollhouse, I also got a laundry sink with little basket drawers–I love it! (The tiny sponge is a piece cut off of a regular sponge with sharp scissors.) Is this sink something you’d like me to carry in my shop? Just let me know in the comments below.
