I’ve never come out with a new book during the holiday season, because the mice and I are already running around like crazy as it is, but an idea came to me while I was doing some crafting on my off time, and I just couldn’t resist. So here’s the scoop: I’m working on a new tutorial book for the twelve days of Christmas, but I’ll be releasing it as early as possible (my goal is right around Thanksgiving) to give you plenty of time to put it to good use before the holidays.
The projects in the book are quite different from my previous books, and I’m going to be a little sneaky here and keep it vague, but I can say this: they’re all adorable, they all feature miniatures, and all of them are great gifts and/or unique ways to decorate for the holidays. This book will turn your house into a mini Santa’s workshop, so get ready! (Sign up here to get an email once the book is released.)
Here’s a sneak peek at just a few of the projects from the book.

The book sounds like a lot of fun. By chance, are you going to have a tutorial in it on “how to put decals on mini plates without killing yourself?????@#$@@!@@@##### I have tried everything to get the decals to stick without little pleat’s around the edges,,,,,no luck. I have some Micro Sol coming today from Amazon, maybe it will help. I love the Baking book I got from you!!!! Look at my site JansPetitPantry on Etsy,,,your book helped with a lot of my stuff!! Jan

heheheh I hadn’t planned on including that in this particular tutorial, but I can offer you this: Have you tried snipping little cuts along the perimeter of the round decal before applying it? I’ve found that this can help it lay flat. Depending on the curvature of your plate, the snips might need to be shorter or longer, but playing around with this should get rid of some, if not all, of the pleats.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying the baking book, Jan! I just visited your shop, and oh my goodness, am I ever craving cookies now. And cakes. And banana cream pie. 😉 Love your work!
