My romance novel, The Fool & the Threads of Time, is out today, and I made teeny tiny sweets to go with it! (There’s also a dollhouse armchair with cat ears…)
First, let’s take a peek at the book:
I am over the moon for this cover. Doesn’t it look like a handmade diorama?? ☺️ There’s a whole story about its creation, which I’ll share next week.
And now for the tiny foods…
In the story, Ev Knox’s relationship is a smoldering dumpster fire, and she is done with love. Good thing, too, because she’s got way bigger problems than romance: A developer with mysterious ties to a sinister self-help cult is after the bookstore her Aunt Zell left her, and eerie occurrences are piling higher than unpaid bills.
An impossibly glowing sword, a book that shouldn’t be there, and sulfur-smelling wraiths are just the beginning. And then, in waltzes Matt Byrne, with his lean runner’s build and a crooked smile that should be illegal—a distraction Ev seriously does not need.
So what does she do? She stress bakes. A lot.
I’ve sculpted three distinct sets, and there’s only one of each. They’re priced at much less than they’d normally be, so if you have your eye on one, don’t miss out!
The set above is 1:6 scale, whereas the other two are 1:12.
And, of course, I had to make a teeny version of my book! 🤓 A copy is included with each set, so your dolls can get lost in a swoony romance while enjoying their snacks.
When you visit the campaign, you can jump right to the minis by clicking on Rewards and What’s in each mini set? There are different photos under each of those sections.
If you’re new to Kickstarter:
To back the campaign, you’ll choose a Reward. For instance, let’s look at the Deluxe Snack Cart (Mini Set A).
You can see on the right that you’ve chosen Mini Set A. If that’s all you want, you’re good to go! You can proceed with the checkout process. Shipping is a flat rate of $9 per set (for this campaign I’m only shipping within the US).
If you want to add non-mini items, you can choose from the optional add-ons (an ebook or paperback copy of my romance novel, a Moon Cat bookmark, etc).
You can only choose one mini set.
Kickstarter doesn’t have a simple way for me to bundle the mini sets, so for this campaign, you’re only able to purchase one. (Well, unless you wanted to sign up with a different email address, I suppose, and back the campaign twice.)
Once a set is sold out, it’s gone.
You won’t be charged until the campaign ends.
This is what makes Kickstarter different from ordering from my shop. You’ll only be charged if the campaign “funds” (meaning, if I meet my $200 funding goal by March 2). Kickstarter will send you an email receipt once your payment is collected—and again, this happens after the campaign ends on March 2, and only if I meet my funding goal.
