I’ve started working on my next miniature food tutorial book, and this one is going to be ooey, gooey, and super cheesy. I wanted to stretch my skills a bit, so I decided to focus on foods that have melty cheese as a major component.

Today, I finished two polymer clay sandwiches: a Croque-monsieur and a Croque-madame. Both of them feature melty cheese in the interior, and they also have a layer of melted, browned cheese on the top–not the easiest thing to recreate in miniature!

The new book will take you through every step of the process so you can make your own miniature sandwiches. Wouldn’t these be cute in a French café or an afternoon picnic scene? *happy sigh* (Want to learn how to make dozens of other types of sandwiches?
