That’s right, we’re almost to the finish line. In fact, my birthday is on Saturday, and my hope is to have the book finished by then: a nice present for you and me!
At this stage, all of the writing is done, I just need to create the table of contents, arrange all of the printables that come with the book, and snap a few more photos. And finally, one more round of proofreading and violΓ ! Assuming nothing cataclysmic happens tomorrow, you should be getting an email either tomorrow night (Friday) or Saturday announcing the book’s release.
If you’re not on my mailing list, be sure to sign up now to get your subscriber-only discount on the book once it’s released. (The discount is only valid for the first few days of the book’s release, so don’t snooze and lose!)
Marshmallow Moon ran a coloring contest, and here are some of the entries. π
The Little Fur Family was one of my absolute favorite books as a child, so I couldn’t resist adding it to the outdoor cafe table. (And yes, there are tiny pages inside with pictures and writing.)
More finishing details include the books in the bike basket and the bakery box tied to the bike rack, plus lots of other tiny pieces that I added here and there, all covered in the book.

I’m catching up on your blog, and I am sooooooo in love with your bakery box, I couldn’t think of anything coherent to say here so I just shared it on FB instead. π Amazing work as always, but it’s even more fun to see you realize a complete vision like this one!!! Are you going to do more? It’s beautiful π (And I wish it were down the street from me so I could go there and hang out!)

Thank you, Lisa!! I really appreciate you sharing it on FB, and thanks for the compliments! π I am definitely going to do more, and I’ve already started planning–well, I’ve been planning more than I could possibly make in a lifetime, to say the least, but I can’t help myself. Once the holiday season craziness is over, I’ll be starting the next one.

Heh. Planning more than what’s possible in a lifetime — story of my life, and yours too, I know! Can’t wait to see what you come up with next. π And good luck with the holidays, whew!

I would love to step into a parallel universe where you and I had created all of the ideas in our heads, just so I could look at/read/experience all of them. Absolute heaven. π
