I mentioned in an earlier post that I was devoting all of yesterday to a secret miniatures project, and my studio was an explosion of glitter, beads, baubles and jewelry findings.
If you’re like me and you adore seeing work-in-progress photos, you’ll be in love with this post, because I snapped oodles of pics of my entire day in the studio, complete with shimmery glitter messes and all. And one of my miniature supply shipments arrived, so I took a photo of the new dessert case I’ll be using in an upcoming room box. Loads of fun stuff! Shall we…
When I’m working on a line of pieces, as opposed to unrelated, individual minis, I always mix up a color palette of clay blobs (in background) to use for the entire session, so I don’t stray too far from my original idea.
And then the mini-making fun begins…
I’m a huge fan of Martha Stewart glitters, because they’re available in a range of types that work well in different projects, such as tinsel or vintage flake-style glitter. Plus, the color palettes are pretty hard to resist at the craft store.
And here’s that mirrored dessert case I mentioned. I can’t wait to start working on a new room box to use it in!
And a couple more pics, just for good measure.
