Soooo…I was planning to start work on a duo of Christmas tutorial books, but you know what they say about the best-laid plans of mice.
I woke up the other day with images of over a dozen Halloween miniatures in bright, rainbow colors, and they’re so darn cute that I can’t resist making them.
The Christmas books are still on my list, but first things first: rainbow Halloween!! Here are some sneak peeks at two of the projects: Boo-tiful Sugar Cookies and Full Moon Rising Cake.

I adore Halloween, and your ghosts are so bootiful! When will your Halloween book publish?

Thanks, Sophie!! I don’t have a firm date for the book yet–I’m working on it as much as possible in between filling orders–but my goal is to release it in time for Halloween. I’ll be sending email updates to my mailing list. π

@Mo… how could one be into miniatures and not adore that cake and multi-colored ghosties?! π After last Christmas I lost the urge to create miniature art or work on any one of my 3 dollhouses. π I don’t know what happened, I just lost my desire for life in miniature and went back to making jewelry.
But this post plus one by Brae/Otterine (http://www.otterine.com/blog/blog1.php) we’re the ones that brought the mini-mania flooding back, and I’m going to start working on one of my houses this weekend.
Thanks so much for your inspiration, Mo. Now I can’t wait to decorate the little house for Halloween with that black cake holding pride of place on the kitchen table. Gotta get busy, like yesterday! π

I’ve had my phases too, when I’m a little less obsessed with minis…but it never lasts long. Those minis, they’ve got a hold on my heart. π
So glad you’re feeling all creative and inspired–yippeeeeee! Such a wonderful feeling! <3
