As the week comes to a close, I wrapped up the last case in the miniature bakery: the freezer case in the back corner. I decided to fill it with cartons of the bakery’s house-made ice cream, homemade ice cream sandwiches, and a party-size ice cream cake.

I also made a rainbow layer cake and some bowls of candy for one of the front windows.

This photo is a bit blurry–sorry about that–but here’s a look at the bakery so far.

Next week, I’ll continue filling out the windows, and by that point my miniatures order should have arrived with some odds and ends, such as cookie sheets and a scale. Then, I’ll print out tiny signs for the pastry cases and the freezer case I made today with the names of the desserts and prices before moving onto to signs and posters for the walls. Things are coming right along!
