If you caught my last post, you know I’ve been busy-busy sculpting minis for my upcoming Kickstarter campaign.

But if you’re like, Mo, I have no idea what you’re talking about, no worries—here’s the nutshell version:

I’ve written my very first romance novel, The Fool & the Threads of Time, and next month I’ll be launching it on Kickstarter. The main character, Ev Knox, loooves to bake, so you know I had to make mini versions of desserts mentioned in the book!

The first set is 1:6 scale, and I’ll be honest: I seriously considered keeping it for myself. 😂 I am so in love with this little snack cart.

In the story, Ev inherits her aunt’s quirky bookshop, and she funnels her baking obsession into a very well-stocked snack cart for customers. The set also includes a tray with tea and a brownie, and I had way too much fun making an almost-empty teacup with a used tea bag.

No snack area would be complete without a cozy chair, begging to be curled up in with a good book. This set is in 1:12 scale.

Yes, the chair has cat ears. 😍 Ev’s bookshop is in a neighborhood nicknamed Meowville after all the feral kitties running around, so her shop has lots of cat-themed paraphernalia. (See the paw-print napkins in other photos…)

In the image above, you can see some of the tiny books included in each mini set. All of the books are mentioned in The Fool & the Threads of Time, and as soon as I get the cover art for my book, I’ll be making a mini version of that, too.

While I was still sculpting, I snapped a pic of the chair when the sun was coming in just right. It looks like such a relaxing set-up.

The last set (1:12 scale) is inspired by Creative Friday, which is a weekly event Ev hosts in an attempt to save her floundering bookshop. Her artist friends create amazing book-themed art and Ev whips up matching desserts. Check out these toadstool macarons!

It’s a little hard to make out in the above photo, but I made teeny tiny bookmarks for each mini set, and they’re removable, so you can display them however you like. Here’s a clearer view from the 1:6 scale set:

Okay, seriously, can you tell how much fun I’m having with this project?? 😁

Right now, I’m aiming to open the Kickstarter on Valentine’s Day, but this is dependent on the cover art being done in time. The artist says everything’s on track, so 🤞🤞.

I only have one of each mini set, and they’re priced much lower than normal, so if you have your eye on one (or you want to get a copy of my romance), be sure to follow the Kickstarter campaign. You’ll be the first to know once it’s live!

That’s all for now, but thanks for being a part of my mini adventures, friend!

P.S. Happy little minis, waiting to be photographed…
