Welcome to the Mouse Market’s 12 Days of Christmas! I’m so glad you could join us for this holiday extravaganza, and here to kick off the event is the lovely Mayumi…
Hello, everyone! For those of you whom I haven’t met yet, my name is Mayumi, and I’ve been working with Mo for a little over a year now, helping mainly with behind-the-scenes tasks in the Mouse Market office, but I’m so excited about the 12 Days that I offered to host the entire event. For the next week and a half, I’ll be in charge of each day’s blog post, so I look forward to hearing from all of you in the comments section! Just to recap, this is how the next twelve days will play out: Every morning, I’ll announce a new Limited Edition miniature here on the blog. Mo has only made one of each of these pieces, and they will not be available by custom order after they sell, so if you simply must have them in your collection, you’ll want to check the blog every morning at 9:00 a.m. to ensure that you’re first in line. There will be a link to the item listings within each post so you can snag them right away.
And now, let’s get started with today’s Limited Edition pieces! If you’re like me, Christmas time is synonymous with cookie time, and one of my favorite holiday pastimes is setting aside an entire day for baking so I can bundle up yummy packages of treats for loved ones. Get your dolls in the giving spirit with this yummy collection of colorful cookie gifts–there are three sets to choose from.
Set A includes one silver tin with a pretty pink ribbon and gift tag, and it’s filled with the following cookie assortment: a chocolate coconut whoopie pie, dark chocolate stars with mint icing, a heartthrob butter cookie, lemon flowers with creamy icing and edible glitter, Hershey Kiss peanut butter cookies, and a colorful candy cane. This set also includes one package of cookies that is all wrapped and ready to be sent to a lucky recipient, and the package features sugar pink wrapping with a bright blue bow. Buy Set A here. SOLD OUT
Set B includes a tissue lined box made from pretty red and pink striped paper, and it’s filled with the following sweets: a rainbow chip cookie, dark chocolate stars with mint icing, a Hershey Kiss peanut butter cookie, a lemon flower cookie with creamy icing and edible glitter, a chocolate coconut whoopie pie, and two mint swirl candy sticks. This set also includes an elegant wrapped package ready for sending with pretty rose paper tied with a bright pink ribbon. Buy Set B here.
Set C is perfect for tucking into stockings on Christmas morning, and it includes two jumbo gingerbread trees decorated with delicate strings of rainbow nonpareils. Each cookie is packaged in a handmade sleeve made from gorgeous decorative paper in deep blue-green with a hint of gold shimmer, and the cookies are secured with a festive red and white ribbon tie. Buy Set C here. SOLD OUT
Thanks for joining me for Day One of the Mouse Market’s 12 Days of Christmas! I can’t wait to show you all of the colorful goodies Mo has made for tomorrow, so be sure to meet me back here at 9:00 a.m. In the meantime, let me know what you think of today’s pieces in the comment section below!
Hi, Mayumi! These are awesome. Frikkin’ awesome. I particularly like the whoopie pies and the idea of a sleeve over the stocking stuffer set.
Do you know whether Mo’ will be making any custom jewelry pieces during this event?
All best, and LURVE the tights,
LMB
Lisa Marie–so nice to meet you! Mo has told me so many good things about you.
So glad you like today’s treats! Mo will be making only dollhouse minis for the 12 Days, but I know she’s also preparing for her last show of the year, which is the weekend after next, so she’s going to be listing a TON of new jewelry over the next week.
Dolly ((hugs)),
Mayumi
Oooh! I can’t wait! That’s the show in OKC, right? I lived there for 7 years.
Tell Mo if she wants some good Mexican food while she’s there, she should check out Ted’s Cafe Escondido. http://www.tedscafe.com The original is at 2836 NW 68th St, but there are others. There’s ALWAYS a wait, but the food is really good. More Tex-Mex than Mex-Mex.
Best,
LMB
PS – I just happened to wear my ho-ho earrings today to work. They’re the first thing I ever ordered from Mo!
Oooh, good to know! I’ll pass that info along. I was hoping to go to OKC with Mo, but one of my friends is throwing a holiday party that weekend, so I’ll be in town. Good thing, too, since it worked out with me taking charge of the 12 Days.
Mo showed me pics of those adorable ho-ho earrings! That was before I arrived in the States, and I keep telling her that she should make more of her “vintage” pieces from way back when.
Mayumi, I’m so excited about this series! Glad we’ll be seeing more of you for the next 11 days (and after??).
Lisa! OMG, Mo was just telling me about this new soy sauce you recommended–can’t wait to try it! And yes, I hope to be a little more involved on the blog in the future, although I do have some traveling planned for January, so only time will tell…
I’d love to see photos of you in your traveling outfits with your luggage, if you have any such things.
(I always used to love those American Girl steamer trunks and such.)
Mo was friends with Samantha of the American Girl crowd when she was younger, and she showed me pictures of Samantha’s amazing trunk! I would LOVE to get something like that for myself.
I used to hang out a lot with Samantha myself.
I still haven’t met her! Mo promised that when we go back to Chiago to gather some of her things, I might finally have the opportunity.
I hope you’ll take pictures, when the time comes!
Most definitely! I have to show off my new outfits, after all.
