I want to give you a peek at my inventory storage to give you an idea of just how short-supplied I am at the moment, but first, why does it matter? The weekend of October 15, I’ll be packing my meager inventory up and heading west to St. Louis for the Gateway Miniatures Fair. This is one of my favorite shows of the year, because it’s typically slammed with fellow mini fanatics, and since Halloween (my all-time favorite holiday) is right around the corner, everyone has their spookier stock out for sale. So, do I want to show up for this awesome event with a piddly amount of minis? Heck no. Hence, the Challenge.
Here’s what I propose to do: Every day for the next nine days, I am going to make ten miniatures so that by the time I leave for the show, I’ll have 90 more pieces to bring along. Is this possible? I sure hope so. My goal is to cut back on any activities that aren’t crucial but still maintain yoga and daily meditation, because trashing my health in the process isn’t on my agenda.
This is how the Challenge will play out: Starting tomorrow, visit my blog to see photos of the first ten minis that I’ve created. I’ll continue this posting schedule every day until I leave for my show next weekend. To keep from selling everything before I even hit the show floor, I’ll only be listing one or two pieces in my shop each day, so if you see something you like, here’s what to do:
One thing to know about custom orders: It’s that busy time of year again, and my custom order schedule is booking fast, so if you have Halloween minis, holidays gifts, etc. that you need to have made, get in touch now. I’m already booked two weeks out, so the sooner you email me, the higher up on the list you will be.
And with that, I’m off to make ten minis. See you here tomorrow! ![]()

Wow, that’s a challenge indeed! Good luck!!
Thanks! I’ll take all the luck I can get.
